5 days in Alaska- I need suggestions

Ok, i have a free Ticket from Alaska Airlines, and I decided to book it Septermbe 17th - 21st. I decided againest Juneau and other places and use Anchorage as my starting point
Here is what i was thinking- I am traveling solo as well

Arrive in Anchorage 5pm sunday
Day 1 - Drive to Homer arrive at night
Day 2 - Homer
Day 3 - Seward (Optional) Been there but missed Exit Glacier is it worth it
or head up to Matanuska Glacier
Day 4 - Denali
Day 5 - Denali- drive back to anchroge

Days 4/5 could be subsituted for Wrangell St Elias National Park but it seems kind of remote

I have driven Alaska in Winter so I am fine with all the driving in late summer

Does this sound like a responable interniary or am I out of my mind

Any help would be appreaited

You are going too late for Denali Park, shuttles will have all stopped running, tours closed. What is your reason for going there??? I would suggest, in 5 days to just concentrate on the Kenai Peninsula?? 2 days in each Homer and Seward then one in Anchorage.

Otherwise, consider going across the Glenn to Copper Center, do a fly in to McCarthy/Kennicott. Then Valdez, IF you can catch the ferry to Whittier, so much the better for the loop. I would not add Homer or Seward, just not enough time.

I really just want to go to Denali to see Mount Mckinley.
I suppose I could focus entirely on the Kenai Pennisula, but i have already seen Seward and wasn't that impressed with it
Is Exit Glacier still open in September and the same goes for Day Cruises

I should have used this ticket in the Summer but wanted to avoid the crowds and high prices

If you just want to see Mt. McKinley then take a flight seeing tour from Anchorage w/ Rusts Flying Service or from Talkeetna with one of several. We just took a great circle Denali tour w/ Talkeetna Aero out of Talkeetna. It was great!

If you want to "see" McKinley, you are best with a flight, Talkeetna has excellent tours to consider with my top pick the summit flights. With ONLY allowing 2 days for Denali anyway, you aren't likely to see it from the ground in that timeframe. My last trip had 6 days between full views from the ground. Spend the day in Talkeetna, then tour where your priorities are, yes Exit glaicer is "open" and boat tours do run into Sept out of Seward, verify schedules however for your timeframe. www.kenaifjords.com
