4th of July Myrtle Beach
I understand that during 4th of July weekend Myrtle Beach is extremely busy. But what is the crowd like? Mostly families or young adults drunk all over the place? I've never been so I don't know the scene. Thanks in advance.

Families with great fireworks going on all week long at lots of different places. We go to North Myrtle and you can see them way down the beaches.
|
All families. Myrtle Beach isn't a big destination for drunk young adults although you can always find one or two. Check out the boat parade in Murrells Inlet. Probably close to 300 boats.
|
Thanks for the info. I'll definitely try to check to out the boat parade.
|
when i went there were mostly families . that was 10 years ago though so i'm not sure how it is now.
|
What about hotels? Probably $150.00 a night. Any recommendations on the North side?

There are hotels, there are condos, there are beach houses, there are mansions, there are dumps......Check out some of the time share sites ie Bluegreen...Go to bluegreenrentals.com...it will at least give you an idea of prices.
The Embassy at Kingston Plantation has been going for $125 on priceline during the week of July 4th.

Nice Condos can go for in excess of $400 per night while you can get the Bates Motel for around $100 per night. For something decent, expect to pay around $200 per night for oceanfront unless you bid it out on priceline.
