4days in DC

During our 4 day trip to DC (next week), we are planning to visit (amongst other things) the Air and Space museum, the Holocaust Memorial, the Spy museum and the main monuments. The Museum of American History is closed. We also want to save some time for wandering (perhaps a visit to Georgetown) and shopping. Is this a reasonable amount to see and do?

Any other suggestions?

Sounds reasonable - depending, of course, on how you define 'main monuments.' If you mean Wash monument, White House, Lincoln, and Jefferson, fine.

Yes it's very reasonable. The National Cathedral is nice too. I spent the night in the towers a few years ago with a youth group and it was quite interesting to tour the place.

Yes, go by the WhiteHouse (it is at 16th & G). ChinaTown is pretty good food (near the Spy Museum, since you mentioned it), but a visit to Georgetown is a MUST. Climb up the hill a few blocks up off of M St. to see the homes. I really like the Dupont Circle Neighborhood up Mass Ave. Worth the walk around; coolest part of town.

The viewing of President Ford is Saturday or Sunday, I believe. A historic momment. Crowds should be fine as much of the town is not at work or out of town this week.
