45 year birthday gals visit for weekend

Three ladies visiting St. Louis for weekend need to know where people around our age gather for fun. We like to have a few cocktails, and really like to dance. Any ideas?

Are you all staying in a Hotel in STL?

I would reccomend staying central - ie: the Clayton area.

I just went out last night to celebrate a friends's 45th!! We went to Monarch restaurant. It has a great bar and award winning dining. There is a live band on weekends..dancing....???

Cafe Napoli in Clayton is great! Attached to it is their Martini bar. All ages go there. People do dance!!

STL BIG Happening dance scene is on Washington Ave. Loft district.(downtown) Very chic clubs... but I will say it is mostly 20's. Older people def go too for a fun night out,... especially for dancing.

BarCelona is a great bar in clayton. Tapas. In nice weather you they open all the windows for a European feel.

Another idea is a place called Busch's Grove. They just did a multi million dollar restoration to this landmark in Ladue. They have well know bands, some Nationally known and people do dance!!!! albeit a small dance Floor! You will def. have people in your age group here!!!

Have fun. Let me know if you have any other questions!!!

You are too funny. My mind certainly doesn't feel old; however, the body.....

If you haven't booked your hotel yet, do it through Priceline (check www.biddingfortravel.com first). I got the Hyatt which used to be train station. It is lovely and connected into a mall that has lots of restaurants. Also, you have to go to Ted Drewes for the frozen custard. It's a must for every visitor.
