40th Birthday Trip Ideas

Looking for suggestions for group of women celebrating 40th birthday. Must be within a four hour flight or drive from Cincinnati, Ohio. Planning for April of 2007. Vegas? New York City? All inclusive Beach resort? Spa? Any ideas?

To get me through turning 40 we went to the Turks and Caicos (Provo) Had a great time and made getting older a little less painful. The Carribean in April should be less expensive.

I have to admit, as hard as it was turning 40....I really enjoyed doing so in Vegas!

NYC, spa, or one of those expensive western resorts with the hot springs

Time of year...April. Number of days...3. Budget...$1,000-1,500. Interests vary...beach OK, but need activities and options besides laying out on beach all day...good restaurants and night life.

Cannon Beach, OR? San Diego? Though I'm not sure if those are less than four hours....probably not...

Florida is nice in April. How about Captiva or Sanibel?

If you want to cut loose however, Vegas is tough to beat.

My husband surprised me for my 40th last month with a trip to Las Vegas to see Elton John at Caesars Palace. We stayed at Caesars and had a wonderful weekend geetaway!
