40th Birthday suprise for Wife in Vegas

I want to surprise my wife for her 40th Birthday in Las Vegas. Any Suggestions of places to stay, what to do & see??

Assuming you plan on spending a few dollars, get a room at the Bellagio, book her an appointment for their spa, get tickets for "O" and have dinner at one of their better restaurants.

Assuming you don't plan on spending much money, take advantage of the relatively low cost rooms at Circus Circus, Excalibur, Stratosphere, et al. Have a reasonably priced meal at someplace like Spago in Caesar's Forum Shops, and get tickets for someone like Wayne Newton.

Dinner at Picasso at Bellagio. When you make the reservation, tell them it's a 40th B-day and ask if they could seat you up front with a great view of the fountains. They seated us at a "partial-view" table, we ordered drinks, and when a table opened up near the windows, they moved us without us even asking for a better table. Our waiter was pissed because we were being moved to another server's table. The view was awesome! Very romantic.

Depending on the weather, sitting outside at Mon Ami Gabi at Paris is nice. Another great fountain view.

Get a corner deluxe room at the Bellagio.

There is even a picture window over the bathtub....great view while the two of you soak.

I'd probably pick Le Cirque over Picasso. I've eaten at both and found the service at the former to be far superior to Picasso.

I'll also say that dinner at Picasso wasn't all that. I haven't eaten at Le Cirqe but Aqua would get my vote any day.

I also like the Venetian Hotel and Canyon Ranch Spa there, love "O" and would check into the Rio's free floor show. I'm told that if you go 45 mins prior you can ride in one of the floats in the sky!! Cool!

Great minds think alike, Mitch.
I took my wife to LV for her 40th.
We stayed in a suite at Bellagio and had dinner at Picasso, then saw "O".

I've been to LV many times.
Bellagio's suites are the best in town.
Picasso was not my favorite restaurant, though.
Too dry and stark for my taste (atmosphere).
I, too, liked Le Cirque a little better for atmosphere.
