Thank you so much for sharing your expertise of the local eateries!

I like crepe so the rest of the family will go to Crepevine. gt; Potatoes will be good for grandparent's hypertension. gt; I think the rest of the family may like other selections on the menu. Normally I let the rest of the family review the menu or brief them the type of food prior heading out; that is their only chance to get to vote for the chowing! %>)

I'm weighing between the burgers of Copenhagen and Yaya Cuisine in Burlingame for first night dinner. Copenhagen's dinner menu actually reminds me of the food we had in Vienna.

For Chinese food, my husband & my father have no problem to digest them for the whole week. I want varieties. I like all kinds of ethnic Chinese food that I had from different countries; each of them has its own uniqueness. Authentic Cantonese food is no stranger to me after a few visits in Hong Kong. I love Chinese food in Singapore, though, from the late dining to the special preparation by the chef at our own table. Yum... it was divine!

Since, we are going to try dimsum at Koi Palace; we may order lobster as well. The only thing I'm afraid that the executive chef may not be around in the morning to prepare it thus the quality may be less compared w/ the dinner one.

Guess what, I couldn't wait; we just went out for a late lunch today & had a good lobster w/ garlic+ onion. It was delicious!

Yes, Lulu food is good but we may skip it this time for Moroccan food @ Tajine. I read all the rave reviews about Aziza; if we have lunch @ Tajine then we may go to Maritime instead of Aziza (dinner only)-- long wait w/o reservation.

I keep the great suggestion of activities for the kids on the rainy day. De Young is already on our itinerary list.

Rainforest is a great choice for kids! We like their lobster rolls. Thanks for mentioning it.

I've change the dinner list to: Yaya Cuisine, Coriya Hotpot city, Cafe Maritime/Aziza & Cafe Arguello. gt;

Can't wait!

Just wanted to thank again for all the tips! They made our trip much easier w/ the 2 little ones. We got a brand new Grand Caravan SE to get around town.

We were flexible to accommodate to our little girl's nap. We also were lucky w/ the dry weather & parking; usually found parking just 1 block away fr. restaurants; except Koi Palace. Used parking garage twice-- FW ($10 flat rate) & Portsmouth -- forgot to get the validation fr. some of the vendors. My father really spent big bucks on ginseng.

We enjoyed shopping in Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, Burlingame Ave, Union st, and 24th in Noe Valley. Had some good chocolate in Noe Valley; the one on Union is not that great. We had a pleasant stroll on Burlingame Ave & loaded w/ boxes of goodies from Copenhagen after a sumptuous high-carb breakfast at Crepevine.

Dining was great except @ La Vie; the 2 beef dishes we ordered were kind of chewy. I guess we did not order the signature one: crab. Their menu seems to be overpriced, especially the crab ($50 for a large one); I don't see any gold plate on the crab. gt; I wished we went to Lee Hou ,instead, for the crab. Another note is that they do not have high chair. I could not believe a Vietnamese restaurant has no high chair; their environment doesn't look like a high-end fine dining.

For breakfast, we tried dimsum 2 days in a row @ Ton kiang (Hakkah style) and Koi Palace (Cantonese style). We like both of them. Had ginger crab at Koi Palace. The service at both places was good & kid-friendly. We ate dimsum on the weekdays-- so no wait at all.

We missed dining at Yaya on Burlingame on our first night; we went for a good Chinese buffet nearby the hotel instead. It did not justify >$100 for a car rental or $30-$40 cab rides for 6 of us that evening just to go to dinner. We got a better deal for the weekend car rental for the rest of our trip.

It was challenging/hazardous to take the kids to Coriya Hotpot City; we managed to have a decent meal, though. The paella @ Cafe Arguello is delicious & big portion.

Everyone relaxed & enjoyed the Palace of Fine Arts, especially our little girl; she danced/jumped in joy to see the water fountain.
