4 days in LA, top 5 things to do
Hi All,
We are heading to LA in a week and will be there for days, we will have a hire car.
What I would like to know is what are your recommendations on top 5 things to see,
best places to stay...central.
Thanks

Hmmm, depends somewhat on how old you are and what your interests are, but here are some ideas:
1. Santa Monica beach, 3rd Street Promenade and pier.
2. Getty Villa and or Getty Center, Huntington Museum and Gardens, Norton Simon Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (not my first recommendation for an art museum)
4. Downtown LA (cool architecture): The Bradbury Building, Grand Central Market, Union Station, Disney Hall, the cathedral, The Biltmore Hotel
5. The La Brea Tar Pits (which are right next to the county art museum) and the Natural History Museum in Exposition Park.
6. Hike to the Hollywood Sign, walk the trail above Will Rogers' ranch house at Will Rogers State Park, or any other hike through the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy.
7. Visit Paramount Ranch to see where Western movies were filmed outside. Or take a studio tour. I think Warner Bros. in Burbank does one.
Best places to stay would depend somewhat on which of these things you decided to do. Have fun!
