4 Day Trip To New Orleans
 

Hi all-

My boyfriend and I will be flying out to New Orleans on Thursday for 4 days. We love to do off-the-beaten-path stuff and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on attractions/ restaurants/ nightlife/ basically anything - that would be fun to do that was not in any of the guide books. We are very open and willing to try anything (at least once!). Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks.

My husband and I took a lunch riverboat cruise to the Battle of New Orleans battle site a few years ago. We bought our tickets at the same place on the river where you can buy zoo cruises. The zoo and aquarium can also be fun if you and your boyfriend like that sort of thing. The D-Day museum for those interested in history. Of course the voo doo museum and voodoo nighttime walks are also interesting. Nighttime grave yard walks. Swamp tours. Walking by the river at sunset. Eating at Cafe du Monde (Cafe Au Lait and Beignets). Getting lost and finding new things on your own is sometimes the greatest part of a trip. Have fun, but don't get to hot.

Is there plenty to do in New Orleans to fill four days?

There most definitely is enough to fill 4 days in New Orleans.

I wouldn't be surprised if you find 4 days isn't long enough! Do a search of this forum for New Orleans and get ready for a huge amount of good ideas. Have fun!
