4-5 star hotel in lower east side NYC
 

What would you recommend for a special hotel in lower east side manhattan. Maybe Flatiron district. I don't know much about NYC. My son lives there and we want to stay close to where he lives. Not sure it even exists but have never been disappointed when asking for recommendations on these forums. Thanks.

Hotels in the Wall Street area tend not to be expensive on weekends, depending on what else is going on.

Gramercy Park is a nice area if not quite as bustling as some expect for NYC. This could be a bug or a feature.

The Bowery Hotel. Great location, convenient to transport and great eating and shopping.

Gorgeous property.

Not sure what you mean by lower east side. This hotel is not really there - but not too far away - east side/Gramercy Park. Wall St area is also not LES - but not too far away. LES is not so much a hotel area - and not 5* at all - more a young/moderate residential area.

Take a look at the Blue Moon Hotel which is in the LES.

Her son lives in the Flatiron district and she wants to close to her son.

There aren't many hotels in that area, much less 4-5 stars.

The Gramercy Park hotel is 2-3 blocks from my friends' apartment in the Flatiron and also from my favorite store (Fishs Eddy). I can't think of another hotel that close.

NYC offers great transportation options so almost any hotel is accessible via subway and/or bus. It depends on how nearby you want to be.

I'm still not sure exactly where the OP's son lives, aside from NYC. The sentence structure is ambiguous. I would assume he lives on the lower east side because it was mentioned first, but that encompasses a lot of area. Knowing the cross streets of his apartment might help us offer better suggestions.

Not four stars, but I've booked Comfort Inn Lower East Side and Holiday Inn Lower East Side for clients who were pleased with the accommodations.

For more upscale, as ekscrunchy said, the Bowery Hotel is gorgeous. The newish Hyatt Union Square might also work.

Sorry to have been ambiguous. I posted in haste. So much so I forgot I posted. With clarification from my son who is near 18th and 2nd He is near both Flatiron and East Village. Like I said, I posted in haste and know very little about. NYC. I will check out The Bowery Hotel , The Gramercy Park and The Blue Moon Hotel. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

W Union Square is close to that location as well.

I used to live in that neighborhood… I'd go for the Gramercy Park hotel it it's not too pricey for your budget.
