30th Birthday Ideas for Oct

Hi everyone,

Really would love to hear some ideas on what to do for a 30th birthday in Oct. My hubby will be turning 30 this year and I wanted to do something fun for him. I was thinking a small group of 6 or 8 couples. Due to time/budget constraints, thinking more domestic than international.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Where are you and the other couples coming from? What are your interests? Fly or drive? How many days? What type of budget for transportation, lodging, food and entertainment?

Does your husband and boys have a favorite football team? A weekend road trip for a college or NFL game can be great fun for a group of couples... Tailgating, a hotel or lodge near the action, pre game partying and tickets to the game make this the perfect Fall weekend... Have fun

A long weekend at the Hotel Tivoli in Vail, Colorado. Hiking, biking, dining, fun!

JanetKMR: we are from the same neighborhood in Chicago.if it's close I don't mind driving but more than 4 hrs I rather fly. The trip is going to be for the weekend. We live to do pretty much anything.

Garyt22: they all like the bears . I'll keep the NFL tickets in mind. Thanks!

Cmcfong: Thanks..I think Vail is a great place. Will keep in mind!

Therese are some great ideas and questions. Keep them coming

From Chicago, it's easy to fly (which is a nice advantage over other places).

Have you considered New Orleans?

The Bears play away three times in October... Charlotte, Atlanta, and Boston... All great road trips... And the teams usually have packages that include Air, hotel, transfers, and game tickets...
