30 in Miami

Planning a four day trip to Miami in June. Four single girls from L.A., early thirties. Need help with hotels. Booked the shore club and have been reading horrible reviews. Where to stay and what to do?????

What's your budget and what kind of place are you looking for? When I was in Miami in March, the Delano and the Shore Club were definitely the two "happening" places at night.

No budget really. But definately looking to be at the "happening" places. Did you go to these hotels at night? Whats the vibe? How are the people? Was there a specific dress code?

It's been a couple years since I was last at the Shore Club and the Delano, but these are my two favorites...very happening. The vibe is chic, fun, young, great people watching, lots of attractive people. No real dress code, some people are decked out, others are in jeans but very fashionably accompanied in terms of their shirts, shoes, hair, etc.

We went to both places at night. Both wre covered up in peopole. One night the Delano was so busy they were turning people away at the door and we went to The Shore club instead. Dress code was no shorts or jeans at Delano. You'd have felt uncomforatable in those clothes there anyway. Both places were upscale and swanky with a cool vibe. Very cool, hip, trendy. Famous people were at Delano one of the nights that we did not go, but others in our group did. (Spike Lee and someone else, I can't remember who) Crowd's age was 30-40. Not sure about the actual hotel facilities at either, but they are close to the beach and the Delano serves an excellent brunch on Sundays.
