3 nights in Big Sur area
The kids are 9 and 13. What hotel or cabin would be a good place to stay in this area? Looking to stay under $300 per night. Thanks.

We're planning a trip down there ourselves. It seems a lot of places are not kid friendly but here's one:

Here is a link to a list of lodging in Big Sur.
http://bigsurcalifornia.org/lodging.html Ventana Inn and Post Ranch are the ones that spring to mind that aren't child-friendly - those are beyond the budget anyway (mine too). Esalen is probably not appropriate with kids either. The rest should be fine though. |
We liked Big Sur River Inn

The Big Sur Inn has accommodations, and whether staying there or not, has a great brunch.

actually, having lived in the area for 30 years and traveled all around Big Sur there are three obvious choice! (btw: best sushi at Treebones, best breakfast at Deetjen's)

for some reason my three choices didn't make my first post: Deetjen's, Treebones, Glen Oaks Motel.
