3 hours to burn in Philly. What to do??

I'm getting married in Philly Aug 30th and I my groomsmen and I have about 3 hours to burn before the rehearsal on Friday. Only a few of us golf so that's out of the question. Any ideas for activities that out of towners would enjoy? BTW none of us are from Philly including myself. So far my only idea so far is to maybe go downtown and get a cheesesteak from Ginos or Pats and than maybe do the Rocky stair climb.

I think that is a good idea. What about checking out the Liberty Bell also? If you like art you could actually go into the museum but then again a bunch of guys in a museum..... hahaha!

No. A museum is a bad idea with 6 testosterone driven males. Do you know of any good brew pubs near Little Italy?

There's no "Little Italy" here in Philly. The Italian section is South Philly. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any bew pubs down there.

Geno's cheesesteaks are the best. Thee are actually a lot of bars/pubs in Old City, which is close to the Historic area. ittenhouse Sqaure is also a great place to just hang out. Lots of great restaurants on Walnut Street from Broad to 18th Street.

Check out www.gophila.com for more ideas on what to do in Philly.

I would walk on Chestnut and see Independence Hall, go on 2nd and pass through Society Hill, and then go back west through South Street, the city's bohemian district for cafes and shops. You can find Jim's for cheesesteaks along the way.

I second designmr's suggestions. It's a good walking area...you'll see plenty of pubs on South Street where the walk ends.
