3 Guys In NYC For 4 Hours
 

Mid September 3 guys in NYC while wives are at a play. We'll be starting off around Times Square. Our one common interest is beer. We would like to visit 3 or 4 bars/watering holes,taverns, at least one Irish, within a 4 hour time span. Ideas/suggestions appreciated or better yet a guide?

Good Irish bar called Molly's Pub, 3rd Avenue and 23rd Street. It's the most genuinely Irish pub I know of in NYC, though Irish pub isn't something I seek out, generally.

Otherwise Ginger Man, Blind Tiger Ale House, Waterfront Ale House, d.b.a., etc.

TwoFatFeet has it right -- if you're a beer lover, you can't beat Ginger Man and d.b.a. Blind Tiger is also good, but Ginger Man and d.b.a. are my favorites.
