3 Generation Beach House Vacation
 

We are researching beach towns where my family can rent a beach house for 2-4 weeks in July or August. Last year we flew to New Jersey and drove down to Long Beach Island where we had rented a beautiful house just 50 yards from the sand.

It's going to be hard to top that but we're looking for the same type of home on the California coast (somewhere between the Central Coast and San Diego area). We live in the L.A. area and would like to drive to our next great beach vacation.

Any suggestions for a beach town where 3 generations (ages 15 mos-80 yrs) can relax, enjoy, and make memories?

I could certainly recommend a number of them on the NC and SC coast if you change your mind about the left coast!!

Can't help you with California but I would love to get the information on the house you rented in NJ

On the East Coast, I would highly recommend Pawleys Island, St. Simons Island, and Sullivans Island.

Hi ga9497: It was a beautiful house in Surf City on Long Beach Island. We found it through vacationrentals.com. I just checked and it's not listed at the moment. If we decide to schlep everyone back east, I'll check out all the great suggestions.
