3 days in Savannah in August - traveling alone
 

Hello everyone. Am looking for suggestions on how to spend some free evenings in Savannah, August 5-8 where I might enjoy some friendly people and good conversation. Perhaps a nice bar in the historic district where it's not necessarily all couples? Will be spending my days looking at real estate and plan on doing a Segway tour as well as walking the Riverfront, taking bike rides, etc. Also looking for thoughts on a day trip to Daufuskie Island - is it truly bankrupt and desolate? Would like one day at a pretty beach with public facilities - have heard "North Beach" on Tybee Island may fit that bill. Any good boat cruises leaving from Savannah to another beach point (drop you off then hop back on later)?
