3 days in Girdwood without a car. What to do?

Need suggestions for things to do in Girdwood for 3 days in mid July without a car. We are taking an excursion to visit the dog sleds one of the days. I saw that there is a bus that goes thru the town but not familiar with the area to know where to go. We are traveling with our 2 ten year old grandkids. Any help is much appreciated!

We've only made two brief visits to Girdwood for the tram ride and Forest Fair but we had a car. Googling I find a free bus service

there are also bike rentals but up to you what kind of biking might work. Our son and grandchildren are experienced mountain bikers and would make use of the lift rides up the mountain.
gold panning and tour at Crow Creek looks fun. Check to see if bus goes there.
Summer was when our friends' dogs had puppies so puppy play and cuddling was encouraged to help socialize their Siberian Huskies. Hope you get to see some puppies.

You can take the train from Girdwood to Whittier, then do a "26 Glacier" cruise. There's a free local shuttle bus service in Girdwood that meets the trains, and the Phillips Cruise office (for the glacier cruise) is walking distance from the Whittier train station.

Definitely do the tram ride from the Alyeska Lodge and do it on a clear day as you will have pretty spectacular view. There are hiking trails from the resort and lovely grounds as well. You might also find a tour that goes to the Wildlife Conservation Center which isn't all that far and is very interesting as well.
