3 Days in Chicago

My wife and I will be in Chicago from a Wednesday thru Saturday and need some advice on an itinerary. We'd like to see the highlights and need some recommendations for restaurants. We'll be staying downtown.
Also what is the best way to come in from Midway?

We took public transit into the downtown area. Follow the signs in the airport. It was easy and cheap. Someone from Chicago can probably tell you what stop to get off if you tell them your hotel location. They did this for us and we had no problem finding the hotel - it was our first visit to the city but certainly not the last. Have a wonderful time!

Yup, more details you can tell us about you and your trip, the better. Price range for restaurants, kinds of food you want, interests (art, science, etc). What time of year, too.

Search for posts by exiledprincess. She lives there and has posted lots of great info.

Getting to/from Midway is easy. Just take the Orange line. As for restaurants and what to do, we need more info.

What hotel (or area) are you staying? That will also help us help you.

There will be fireworks at Navy Pier on Saturday night which can be fun to see. Also take the orange line it's the easiest way to get to downtown not to mention cheapest and fastest.
Food:
Pizza - Giordano's
Steak - Gibson's
Sushi- Tsunami or Coast (BYOB in Bucktown) or sushi samba
Fancy - MK
Just some suggestions

We've been to Marche'on:833 West Randolph Street
Chicago, IL 60607

It's a fun, eclectic, theatrical French hot spot for some great food. Check out their website.

Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House at: 1024 N. Rush St. Great place. If you can sit outside it's a great place to enjoy your food and people watch. Popular place for local's.

Is Hugo's owned by Gibson's or same owner? They have very similiar websites.

I think they are sister establishments as they share the same kitchen I think.
