3 20-something couples and 3 days on the Cape

Hi all!
Me, my husband and my two best girlfriends and their husbands are going to the cape for 3 days! I am so so excited!!! (We are all going to a wedding on Saturday and then will stay through Tuesday).

We are fortunate to be able to stay in a relative's house for free located in South Harwich (near Chatham I think).
I spent summer vacations as a kid on the Cape, but have not been there in years!

So looking for some recommendations for good places to go for a group of young people.
Best beaches (for exploring, walking, etc), things to do, Nice restaurants (with seafood of course).
Best Bars and nightlife
great mini-golf,
ice cream, .....etc!

Provincetown for bars and people watching.

how far is provincetown?
would there be a lot of traffic to get up there?

Probably about an hour's drive, but traffic can be nasty on Weekends. Maybe go to Provincetown on the Monday to avoid crowds.

Also just before P-town is the Cape Cod National seashore. Nice beaches there and I hear there are very good tours of the park and sand dunes etc. on big jeep-type vehicles although I haven't done this myself.

There's a popular beach at Wellfleet and a venue called The Beachcomber that is pretty popular--live music during the day-- but I'm no authority on all the specific beaches and specific bars.

About an hour to P-town ....when are you coming?? Depends on date and weather...cloudy day in summer and it would be a slow crawl with parking difficulty.

Try the Chatham Squire in Chatham or the Land Ho in Orleans for fun bars later in the evening. Nauset Beach in Orleans is great for scenery and miles of beach to walk.

If you go to P-town the choices are endless. Whale watch, Art's Dune Tours, Truro Vineyards (check my name for a post earlier today for links to those)...lots of bars and restaurants. Race Point in P-town is a beautiful beach, as far out into the Atlantic as you can get.

As Ralphie mentioned check out the Beachcomber.... www.beachcomber.com perfect for a young group of friends....really a different experience!!!!

Have a great time and give a report please!

P.S. mini golf...Arnold's on Rt 6 in Eastham, on the way to P-town has a brand new mini-golf course. Great fried clams, oysters and lobster www.arnoldsrestaurant.com
