3...2...1...HAPPY VEGAS!

For those of you out there who’ve never gone to Vegas for New Years, I seriously urge you to check it out. My friends and I went there last year for the New Year and had the time of our lives. I can’t imagine spending this New Years Eve anywhere else. And get this…this year is supposed to be the biggest party ever. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the biggest New Years party in America for 2002. Are you going to be kicking yourself in the head for missing America’s Party? I’m not! The question is, since I live in LA, should I drive or fly there?

Fly. You can run into bad weather going over the passes driving there. Plus, depending on when you return, it could take you 7+ hours to drive back.
You can't beat Southwest $99 fares.

Ooooooooooh, I wish I still lived in LA and could hop in the car and run out to Vegas for the weekend...it used to be sooo fun. Of course then, I didn't gamble, just went to shows and ate and laid out in the sun, but alas, times have changed, now I stay pale and lovely, whiling away the hours, according to some, not winning, but coming home with money, full of good food, problem is, I have to fly across the US to do it now. sighhhh..Happy New Year

vegas for new years? you've got to be kidding! you either pay a rediculous amount to get into some private event or you tough it out with hundreds of thousands of other poor slobs, waiting 45 minutes in a line 25 deep to get a drink at the bar. and you'll be paying 5-10x more for your room than any other time of year because they jack the rates WAY up. On the sreets it's wall to wall people in a crowd that can get unruly (someone died last year i believe.) trust me, i LOVE vegas but would rather be almost anyplace else on earth for new years.

This sounds like a sleazy attempt at promoting a sleazy destination!
