Agree with all other posters but I wanted to add checking out/staying at a "dude" ranch in Bandera. Google for specific names. Great experience.

Hello everybody,
Thank you so much for all the advices. It's up to me now ! Anybody knows that city named Castroville TX ? Founded and inhabited by Alsatians. It could be funny for me to visit this place. |
"Wow, is Schlitterbahn open in NOV?"
Acutally no, sorry. |
Correction--the Schlitterbahn in NB has a Christmas display opening Nov 22 but no water rides. This is something I've never seen before, I might go this year.

Castroville used to have some good antique shops. I imagine you might still find traces of the early settlers.
And by the way - the reason I suggested a high school football game is that being from another country, I thought you might like to experience a part of Texas culture that is somewhat unique. It isn't a museum, or a cathedral, or a thing of great beauty - but if you want to meet some real Texans doing what they love, then a high school football game is a good place to go. Same reason I have attended a cricket match in Australia. |
nancythenice- I agree. Love h.s. football. But if you can't find a high school game, you could have a REAL blast at any one of a dozen college games! An experience like no other! :)

Great tip, I like football.
Anybody seen the Monday Night Game ? Brett is unbreakable !!! It's not the topic ? Excuse me. Where is Castroville ? I can't find it. |
Castroville is about 10 mi due west of San Antonio on Hwy 90 - practically a suburb.

OK I got it
