2 weeks in Alaska itinerary
 

My husband and I will be flying into Anchorage on August 11th. We have two weeks to explore and we are looking for some suggestions on things to see/do while we are there. All rooms are already booked. This is our itinerary so far.

August 11 arrive in Anchorage spend the night at Inlet Tower
August 12-14 stay outside of Seward
August 14-18 stay in Homer take a float plane fishing trip out of Soldatna on the 16th
August 18-21 Stay at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood
August 21-24 stay at Denali visiting the Denali park on the 22nd
August 24 head back to Anchorage @ Inlet Tower
August 25 tour Anchorage then late flight back to NC

I enjoyed the boat ride to Portage Glacier which is not far from Alyeska and pretty easy. In Denali, Can recommend river rafting trip, flight and glacier landing, and choose the Tundra Wilderness Tour over the History Tour. (I believe it is a must to book in advance) Oh, and Major Marine boat trip out to the Kenai Fjords from Seward. Enjoy Alaska, it's amazing

While you're in Girdwood, take the 26 Glacier Cruise out of Whittier, and if you can work in a visit to Independence Mine and Hatcher Pass that would be a good thing to do.
