2 sisters in Sedona in September

I'm taking my sister to Sedona for four days, last weekend of September (40th birthday present). I'd like to go on a horseback riding tour one day and a Vortex tour the next. Any experience that anyone can share with me. Also, I'd like accomodations that are around the $100K range per night. Thinking of the Best Western, there are two of them, has anyone stayed in either, which is closer to where I'll want to be. Any other suggestions from anyone as to other places to stay?
thanks,
Caroline

Caroline you really don't mean $100K per night do you?

The Comfort Inn Sedona was a very good value, had a pool, was very well-located, the rooms seemed pretty new, the rates were within your price range and included a decent "expanded" continental breakfast (cereal, yogurt, fruit, doughnuts, muffins, coffee, juice). I think we paid around $75 per night for a double last August/Sept. but it might be more now because that was a special rate. If you do a search of this forum using the word "Sedona" you can find a trip report I wrote.

For $100K I'd suggest you rent out the entire resort at Enchantment, throw a huge party and invite ALL OF US! We promise to make it worth your while!

Ha Ha very funny. I had a bit of a brain meltdown. Yes I meant $100 U.S. Dollars. Thanks for the responses, keep them coming.

Have you checked out Sky Ranch Lodge? Up on the airport mesa, 60-mile panoramic views, reasonably priced, some units have kitchenettes. You can almost touch the stars at night.

I suggest the Best Western Sedona Inn -- not to be confused with the Best Western Arroyo Robles (more expensive and did not look very appealing) Price is reasonable (cheaper if you book thru the internet), good continental breakfast, and wonderful views (ask for third floor room). We booked a sleep and jeep special (took the broken arrow jeep tour)directly with the hotel and saved on the cost.

I stayed at the Best Western Arroyo Roble - it's a very nice place, and the location is excellent since you can walk up their driveway and you're in town. I think I paid less than $100,000 per night :)

As for horseback, I had a great experience with Kachina Stables. The ride was very scenic, one of the nicer ones I've done in the many places I've ridden.

"Two Sisters in Sedona" -- I like that! Can I use it for the title of the book I plan to get around to writing someday?
