2 Nights Dealth Valley from L.A.
 

Looks like we 4 adults can get a room at Furnace Ranch for 2 nights late December. Will be coming from and returning to Los Angeles in an AWD Subaru Forrester. Itinerary suggestions if we leave in the morning and stop for lunch on the way. Should I look at alternate accommodation? Most discussions seem to be coming and going from Vegas

I stayed at Furnace Resort (not sure if the same thing?) and liked it. This was June. I wonder if it's warm enough to swim in December. They had a nice pool.

I did drive from the Vegas side.

No need to stay over anywhere. It is about a 5 hour drive so w/ a stop for lunch it will still be daylight by the time you get to DV.

Thanks. I meant should I try to stay at two different locations in the park to cover a good amount coming from and returning to L.A.

No -- I wouldn't. Stay one place, unpack once, check in once, check out once.
