2 extra days in late january

in january my wife and i are spending 3 weeks in california and arizona; a week in palm springs at the film festival; a week in san diego and then a week in phoenix. we have 2 days in between the san diego and phoenix timeshares. where would you recommend spending the days? thought about vegas but probably too far to drive for just 2 days.

thanks,

denny

help?

I've never been but have wanted to visit Joshua Tree National Park. If you won't have time to go while in Palm Springs, I'd go there.

I don't know if this appeals to you or not, but I'd like to do an overnight here -

For sightseeing, you could add on Tucson and surrounds as well.

Nope. I haven't been, but really want to stay at the Shady Dell. If I were planning the trip, I'd ask them more about the area they list on their website and see if I were interested.

I'd drive to the Shady Dale from San Diego, and then drive up to Tombstone. Continue on to Tucson and visit Saguaro NP.
