2 day Las Vegas trip.Help!

Hi, We will be in Las Vegas on a Thurs.(flying in that morning) and a Fri. at the end of June. We are staying at the Mirage and we won't have a car.It is our first time here.
I am not into gambling but want to see the
Casinos and we are going to "o" on one night.
Atractions I want to be sure and see is the Pirate battle at Treasure island, volcano and Dolphins, and tigers at Mirage. Also the Venetian, Fountain of the Gods at Caesars,The Paris, and the MGM Grand and the M&M store.Fountain show at the Bellagio and if time the Luxor.
I am wondering what the best route would be to take to try and see all this in two days?
Can it be done?
Is there a route best to take that would be kindest to my feet and minimize the time in the heat walking?
Also how early do I need to start out from the Mirage to get to the Bellagio for "O". Is it a long way from each other?
Is it safe to walk around there late at night? We are 2 women traveling alone so it is a concern.
Thanks a lot for any help.

We stayed at the Mirage last weekend. It is a gorgeous hotel. Make sure you set some time aside to spend at the pool. We were visiting with a relative from London and we wanted to make sure he saw many of the attractions. The Mirage is in a great location. Right next to Caesar's. We went to the dinner buffet at the Bellagio ($24.95) so I would say set aside 15-20 minutes to get there for "O". You can walk along the street or go through Caesar's. We seemed to get lost a lot going through the hotel so I recommend going along the strip. We only stayed 2 nights and saw the volcano (erupts every 15 minutes), pirate show at Treasure Island (about once an hour we got there 45 minutes in advance on a Monday night to get a good spot, it was good but I wouldn't wait that long again) and Bellagio fountain show,(I think every 1/2 hour). Our first night was windy so the pirate and fountain shows were cancelled. We saw them the next night. There is plenty of time to walk around the Venetian, Paris, Caesar's, Mirage, etc. You can do it in one evening. It is very safe. There are a lot of people handing out flyers for hookers but just ignore them. Don't fall for the timeshare scam at Casino Royale but they are serving bottles of Beck's beer for $1. The Dolphin and Tiger enclosure at the Mirage costs $5 each. There is a tiger enclosure in the Mirage that is free as well but sometimes it is empty. Also check out the lions at the MGM and the wildlife at the Flamingo. If you like rides, I was really impressed by the 3D motion simulator ride "Race for Atlantis" at Caesar's. I live in L.A. and have access to some of the best theme parks in the world. This is the best ride I have ever been on.

There are trams between many of the hotels. If you get to the Luxor, make sure you take the tram to the Mandalay Bay. It is a very beautiful hotel and if you follow the signs to the Shark aqaurium, you will get great views of their pool. You don't need a car to do what you want. Try to see things at night when it is cooler and all the neon signs are on.

Two days in Vegas just fly right by! Put yourself on a strict schedule if you really want to see and do everything on your list.

See The Venetian, Treasure Island, Mirage and Caesars on the same day that you are taking in "O" at night. These are all walking distance to each other. Plan on 5 hours to walk through them all, browsing etc. Have lunch in the Caesar's Forum shops, at Spago or Bertolini's or (if the waiting line is not the usual one hour) The Cheesecake Factory.

On your other day, take the monorail from Bellagio down to Monte Carlo, do a walk through to New York New York, then cross the street past Excalibur (skip this place if you're behind schedule) to Luxor, where you can take a tram to see Mandalay Bay. Tram back to Luxor and cross the street to Tropicana/ MGM. (M&M store is nearby). Take Monorail behind the MGM over to Paris and then back to Bally's/Center Strip which is across the street and a few blocks from your Mirage. I would plan on 6 or 7 hours to do a nice monorail tour like this, have a big breakfast before hand or stop for lunch at Chin Chin Chinese in NYNY or Wolfgang Pucks in MGM.

I would plan two separate "day tours", on your "short day" the Mirage and Caesar's and the north side, on your "long day" the south monorail trip. Then "O" one night, and on the other night a re-visit to your favorite spots from the daytime explorations.

Speaking of 'O', if you only have a confirmation number but not a paper tickets, then allocate at least 45 minutes to stand in line at the O Theatre to receive the tickets. The line is quite long. Its a breathtaking show.

The Pirate Battle is really for the children so you are unlikely to enjoy it. I enjoyed the inside of Luxor and Mandalay Bay hotels much better than the Pirates.

The Bellagio fountains (every 15 minutes) are wonderful, but try to see it after dark for even greater show. Stay a few songs. Enjoy your trip to Vegas.

That tram to Mandalay Bay actually runs from outside Excaliber, past (or to) Luxor, and on to Mandalay Bay and back. So you needn't walk to Luxor to get it. Even with the good free tram service, wear your walking shoes!!
