2 BR condo or suite
 

I will be travelling to Maui with a group of 5 people including 2 young children. I am looking for a 2 BR condo or suite that is on a decent beach. I am willing to spend some money per night but of course would like to get the best deal possible. My readings indicate that Kihei may be a bit over commercialized. Any suggestions for places and desirable parts of Maui?

Hmm.. condo sounds better .. perhaps Kaanapali - maybe The Whaler or Kaanapali Alii, just as suggestions, you could also look further north, Napili has a nice beach.. down south, the Maui Prince (hotel) has a nice beach right in front of it and is maybe more peaceful but a bit off the beaten track vs Kaanapali. I can't claim personal experience with lodging down in Wailea - maybe next time as it looked great. Depends on what you want to do too of course.

P.S. Are you the guy with the nanny etc - haven't you already posted this request on a different thread ?

You could also try the Kapalua Bay villas. That area is lovely and more quiet. The beach is quite nice too. This is a beautiful property and just up the road from Kaanapali and Lahaina.
