1st time to Lake Tahoe

My husband and I are going to Lake Tahoe the first week in April for the first time. Any ideas on "must do's" and romantic/good restaurants? We want to do a cruise but were wondering if a sunset/ dinner cruise would be better than in the daytime?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! :)

Lake Tahoe, North Shore vs. South Shores, what's the difference in the "personalities" of each shore?

If the weather is good, then a sunset cruise would be great - although be aware that because the lake is surrounded by mountains, you wont get a traditional sunset. It is more like the sun goes behind the mountain and you have twilight. I love twilight in the Sierras, but you rarely get a display of colors in the sky and that sort of thing because the sun goes away before it is low enough in the sky to create the colors.
