19 people/DisneyWorld/best airfare/hotel

My family is planning a trip in December 2001 to DisneyWorld In Flordia. We will be leaving from Logan Airport in Boston. I'm looking for the best rates it can be a package deal that includes airfare/hotel/passes. Or it can be broken up. All persons will be above 12 years of age. We would like to stay no more than 5 days and nights.

I would suggest talking to a local travel agency for package deals. Also call Delta airlines and see if you can get a discount rate and package deal. Since there are so many of you traveling, you should be able to get a better deal on airfare and hotel. Call and ask for the group desk.

My family travels to Florida every year and we used to leave from Boston Logan but may I suggest looking at the prices for airfare out of Manchester, New Hampshire. Alot of people from Boston area find it cheaper and more convient than Logan. Look for www.southwest.com to compare prices out of boston. Put in Manchester,NH as the departure city. Southwest also has a SWvacations section of their web site that you can find hotel packages on or phone them directly. I live in Canada and travel to New Hampshire as this is the easiest little airport I have been to. Parking is $6 a day. For off-site locations try Holiday-Inn Family Suites at www.holiday-inn.com or we also love staying on site at Dixie Landings at WDW. Have fun and I hope I could help.

Have you tried posting the same query to some of the Disney-related sites? Try wdwinfo.com and wdwig.com. They're unofficial sites full of more information than you'd want. (I love Disney, but some of those people need lives.)

Have a great time!

My family made the same trip this past December (before Christmas, not during). We used our local Garber office and they were fabulous. I'd done some research on the Disney website, pricing a few packages so I'd know what the benchmark was. Then my agent ran all the options again, comparing packages to a la carte trips, comparing Logan departure to Providence, etc. etc. She put together a "package" for us which was great, even saving us hundreds of dollars on air fare by booking the same flights non-package as the package used. I'd use her agian. We even communicated via email, saving us lots of phone tag time. A good travel agent isn't against helping you to save money on your trip.
