We are back! Arrived home late last night after an absolutely phenomenal, unforgettable trip! I made sure to keep a journal while away, so as to keep the details fresh for my trip report. It's my son's birthday this week and so I'll not only be busy unpacking from the trip. but also filling loot bags : ), but I promise to have my trip report posted within the next couple of weeks...

All of your advice was invaluable and helped to make our trip what it was. Dayle, thanks so much for thinking of us. The weather certainly was not what we expected to say the least and so I was glad that we packed to be prepared for anything! We managed to get a lot of sun, and to skirt a lot of the rain while in Utah, but got plenty wet in Colorado (and even had to hike and drive through unexpected snowstorms!) and unfortunately we did have to skip a few key plans due to weather.

We counted yesterday and it turns out that we did 27 hikes in all. Our boys were unbelievable in how they handled the adventure and when I look back, I'm amazed that we were able to conquer the hikes that we did! It was a busy pace through absolutely breathtaking scenery and we loved every minute.

Sorry that the wait has been a little longer than anticipated - it has turned out to be a very busy time! I have written about half of my trip report and so I'm going to post it later today, so keep an eye out! And then I'll continue over the next couple of days...
