12 hours at Miami Airport
 

I am going to be 12 hours at Miami Airport returning from Jamaica on 12/1/13. I see there is a bus/rail service. I need suggestions for where to go and what to do. I'll have warm weather clothes. I like beach, hiking, golf, kayaking, museums and good food.

Rent a car for the day and go to South Beach, have lunch, or go shopping. We had a long layover at MIA this past July and drove to Marathon Key but it's a bit risky as there was traffic and roadworks.

South Beach was my recommendation as well. I don't think you need the rental car. Take a taxi.

Is your luggage checked through? The one benefit of a rental car is that you can keep your luggage locked in the trunk.
