10-hour MIA layover ideas?
We'll have a 10-hour layover coming back from Grand Cayman. That seems like plenty of time to leave the airport and come back, despite Miami's notorious traffic. True? We'll have TSA Precheck, so that will help us with security re-entry.
Coming back internationally, I understand that we'll have to retrieve and recheck our checked bags at Customs. Other than that, are there any other challenges we should consider? Knowing we'll have TSA Precheck, how much time would you budget to get back for our flight? 1.5 hours? More? |
You could clear some brush from the streets or move some of the sandbags...

If we were going there now, yes...

Depends upon where you would go from the airport. MIA is fairly central and Miami is physically small (so is Ft. Lauderdale). But the area nearby is not (Everglades, Key Biscayne, etc). |
The "notorious traffic?" Exactly when and where is that supposed to be? It all depends on when you arrive and where you are going and you haven't told us any of that and until you do I don't see how we can be of help.
I come and go through Miami "internationally" quite frequently so how about some further info. Pre-check is not going to help you when you arrive. Do you ALSO have Global Entry? |
