Vacation Ideas for Mom with, 2 teens (19) (14) and one young adult (23)

I want to go on vacation with my kids. It is difficult for me to figure out what we should do. I have taken them to Europe a few times. I would love to hear about your favorite vacations with teens. I am open to ideas. We are not much of a Disneyland group, or Epcot center types.

Which airport would you depart from and how long of a flight would work for you, ggfinds and how many actual days (not counting flying to and from the destination) will you have? And what interest do you and your three children have? Without any information it is impossible to make a recommendation. Even in my family the young people are so different. One loves big cities and music. One hates big cities basically and is the computer geek. One is into adventure trips and in fact is working for a company that now produces adventure videos for TV. One is the country type of fellow and one in his opinion only wants golf courses and great food. Another one likes to bounce around from one city to another without staying anywhere more than 48 hours and also loves music. And what interests you? P.S. No Disneyland people in our family either except for a couple of young ones.

I live in Los Angeles area. I have 10 days total. I am sorry that I didn't give much detail before. Thinking of July travel. I am interested in beautiful beaches, historical sites, art, culture, and great food. My kids would like to do water sports, beaches, good food, older ones... clubing scouting for girls. (Haha young guys what can I say) This is why I am thinking a cruise could be good for them... I have traveled to Europe many times and have taken my kids 3 times. I love Europe but don't think I am up for it his year due to the cost. Unless there is a great deal out there. I don't really like Mexico. I have been many times and every time I think hummmmm why did I go again. I am really hesitant to go on a cruise because I don't like Las Vegas and as soon as they start to describe the ships they bring up shows and floating cities. My other concerns are the ports they take you to. I don't want to go to places like St Thomas. There is nothing to do there except shop for not so interesting things. I want quality destinations not Disneyland by the sea. Maybe I should choose a great destination and just stay put. Even a Club Med could be good not mexico or bahamas however. Any ideas?

I would suggest Israel, they have a Club Med in Eilat, by the Red Sea ( South tip of Israel), they have a lot of water activities, courses, concerts, and so on there + a beach right by. Also a few sport courts ( basketball, tennis and soccer as far as I remember), I enjoyed my stay there very much, even though it only lasted for a few days. It's a coral beach there though, but if you travel a bit more north in the country to Tel Aviv, or similar, you'll find nice beaches. Israel is full of historical places, both from the Roman empire, Byzantines, and so on. And I don't think your boys would find the girls disappointing there either. They guys there is usually pretty nice looking, and so is many of the girls

My suggestion was going to be Mexico, but I see you specifically don't want that. I was going to say either Puerto Vallarta on the west coast, or over on the Mayan Riviera side (Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, Akumal, Tulum) would be great for your group.
