Upgrading from Economy - how to?
I have 65,633 capital one "miles". I am flying BOS - CDG July 1. How does one go about "upgrading" their ticket with FF miles? I am thinking DH would really enjoy a little more space on the way to our holiday.
Thanks, Julie

First thing to do is to check what the rules are for Capital One "miles" and how they apply to each airline.
Next, start scouring the airline(s) you're intersted in to make sure what Capital One says is what that airline understands.
Trust me, Business Class is well worth the upgrade, well beyond the "little more space".

Whether you can upgrade depends on the airline and their agreement with Cap One. However, it may also depend on the class of ticket you bought. Usually you can only upgrade an economy ticket if its "full-fare".

Just to add that some airlines will allow you to upgrade with a ticket that's less than full fare BUT it will cost more miles to do so. That ticket though will still be significantly higher than the lowest available economy ticket. You just need to ask the right questions to see what your options are.

Also, if you have already purchased your ticket, it may be too late to upgrade your ticket with "Capital One Miles".
Also, you need 10x the number of points as the dollar value of your ticket with Capital One. Business class tickets from the US to Europe often (but not always) cost $4000 or more. You would need to find tickets each costing less than $3250 or so for you to be able to pay with points (assuming, of course, that you can change tickets you have already purchased).
