Running out of passport pages

I'm running out of pages in my US passport. The last 5 pages or so of my passport, the ones marked "VISAS" at the top, are entirely blank, but other than that every other page has at least 4 stamps on it. My passport is valid until 2022. Will countries stamp on the VISAS pages or do I need to get a new passport? I anticipate traveling internationally some over the next 8 years, but not as much as I have done since I got this passport.

They stopped adding pages on 12/31/15
You need a new passport. Get the one with 52 pages. Yes, you will "lose" the 6 years still left on passport.

Right I know they stopped adding pages. If foreign countries will stamp the pages marked "VISAS" I think I will be fine for another 6 years. My question is will customs officials not do that (bc those pages are for visas only ??) and will I run into issues entering a country because I have no space, or is this a non-issue?

>>If foreign countries will stamp the pages marked "VISAS"<<

I am confused. ALL the pages after the info section are marked 'Visas'. At least they are in my latest passport (issued in 2014 - can't remember in my previous versions). All those stamps in your passport -- they essentially are visas.

AH yes I just looked more closely and it looks like, throughout the passport, some pages say "VISAS" and so don't. Nevermind, dumb question, looks like I can use this one for a bit longer.

FYI some countries require you to have a specific # of blank pages, we ran across this on trip to southern Africa ( can't remember which country)

Sorry OP, but you are SOL.

I got lucky and spent my birthday at the US Embassy in London getting extra page added to my passport. A day well spent.
