Portland/Seattle/Victoria/Vancouver
My fiancé and I are planning on going to Portland/Seattle/Victoria/Vancouver for our honeymoon this May. We are from Louisiana and have never been to this part of the country or Canada. Does anybody have any ideas as for as places to visit, transportation ideas, hotels, restaurants, etc? We have 11 days total for our trip. We are not much into hiking but love walking/exploring new towns & cultures. We are open to renting a car and not having to have every moment planned. Any advice will be helpful. Thank you!

Hi! Welcome to the forums!!
I live in Seattle. Sorry to say but I don't think that 11 days is really enough time to go to all 4 of those places unless you're OK with barely two days in each place, then one day moving in between them.
Renting a car would work well between Seattle and Portland. But would be a hassle to try to take into Canada, and especially to Victoria.
What about flying into Portland, drive up to Seattle, take the Victoria Clipper ferry up to Victoria and back, then fly out of Seattle. That would work nicely in your timeframe.

Instead of a car rental, which might incur drop off fees and is always a hassle, you could take the train between Portland and Seattle. I agree that you don't have enough time for what you are considering.
You will get more replies if you post this on the US and Canada boards.

I'm new to this forum so I wasn't sure the best way or place to post my questions. Looks like we either need to lengthen our trip or cut out a city. This has been very helpful so far! Any "must dos" in any of the cities?

>>thursdaysd, This is already cross-posted on the Canada board.<<
That's true -- however -- only to the Canada board which isn't all that much busier than this one. I would re-post on the US board too. Many (MANY) more people will see a thread that than on either Canada or Travel Tips . . .
