Ideas for Ladies Beach Destination October
For several small group of us (5-6) have headed to Puerto Rico for a long weekend (have stayed at the Ritz). Our days consist of hanging out by the pool or on the beach and nice dinners at night. This has generally worked out well - hotel is close to airport and easy to get a cab to dinner options.
But...we want to try something new...preferably something that does not require us to travel quite so far. We are coming from Colorado to DC. Looking for a resort with easy access to airport and where you wouldn't need a car (easy cabs or walks). Would consider renting a house if the location was convenient to things.
Cost not a significant issue.
Help!

For "beach weather" in October you are pretty much limited to places that will be just as far and take just as long as going to Puerto Rico.
Look at the east and west coasts of Mexico, Roatan, Belize, Costa Rica of perhaps the Caribbean Islands like Grand Cayman, the US or British Virgin Islands, the Turks & Caicos or the Bahamas.
If you are looking to stay on the Mainland US look at Southern California, South Florida or maybe the Florida Keys.

Phew ! -- that helps
Tuscon will maybe average 80-ish - South Florida or farther south into Mexico or the Caribbean. Cancun will average around 80F highs in October.

I agree with checking flight options into various vacation spots in Mexico could work. Mayan Riviera (the Caribbean coastline of Mexico) has lots of high-end resorts on the beach.
I also agree that to get to beach weather in October you're likely going to have to go at least as far as your Puerto Rico trips.
