It's only 2 days, so unless you forget undies or swim suits, you will be good to go

I'd bring 2 swim suits for everyone so you don't have to put a wet one back on when you go back to the beach. Bring a couple changes of clothes. Beach towels, chairs, umbrella if your lodging doesn't provide those. Sand toys for the kiddo. Books for the adults. Wine.

I would keep packing to a minimum. The last time we went to the Caribbean, I wrote myself a big reminder note for the next trip: "PACK LESS!"

I had brought shorts and t-shirts, some casual slacks (Dockers) and casual shirts (polos and Hawaiian); different types of shoes (flip-flops, running shoes, sandals, top-siders).

At the end of the trip, I realized that 90% of the time, I had been on the beach or by the pool -- and had spent 90% of my time wearing my swimsuit or a pair of cargo shorts with a t-shirt.

Easily half of what I packed and carried never made it out of my suitcase.

You know what they say - put eveything you think you'll need on your bed. Then half it, and double the money you thought you were taking.lol

Agree with others, pack less clothes, take more money.

With only 2 days you don't need much. Remember, you don't have to bring the kitchen sink. You need clean underware, a bathing suit, a fee t-shirts and shorts or khakis for when you are not at the beach.

When you say "beach vacation" are you going somewhere the weather will be hot/warm? Or you're going to the shore in the fall where it will be cooler weather?

Two days, well nothing much, shorts, bathsuit, and shirt and flip flops. For the two year old bring at least 3 changes of clothing( casual of course) cause kids barf and make messes easy. Thats it, oh, and sunscreen.
