Husband's 30th Birthday - Destination Ideas

Looking to plan a surprise trip for my husband's 30th birthday. Late September, looking for around a week.

Just my husband and I, no children - looking for something romantic.

We enjoy beaches and going on adventures when we're on vacation. My husband loves to fish.

Already done: Newport, RI, Myrtle Beach, SC, Jamaica

I was originally thinking Dubai, but it's a little out of our price range and can be really hot in September. Looking for something reasonable internationally or super awesome domestic.

We would most likely be flying from Boston.

Thank you!

I'd suggest the Baltic countries. It's affordable and full of rich culture, romantic atmosphere, and the weather in September is very pleasant. While you're at it, I'd suggest Prague. That's if don't mind the crowd too much. You can read more about it at: https://trailpen.wordpress.com/2015/...-year-history/

Maybe not the beach you were thinking about, but salmon & trout fishing season lasts into the fall in Scotland.

There's Baja California for beaches & fishing.

Why was Dubai speaking to you? Are a beach and fishing necessary? Does it have to be warm?

A fishing charter can be hired in so, so many places in the world... I do like MmePerdu's suggestion of fishing in Scotland, as that is something quite unique.
