Wyhdam timeshares
I have rented these time shares many times in the past and am considering a purchase. I would not purchase from Wyndham but from a friend who no longer travels and wants to get rid of the maintenance fees. Has any one had any experience with how Wyndham treats buyers on the secondary market. Thanks

Welcome to Fodors. You will get more replies if you post this on the relevant geographic board - i.e. the United States board if the time share is in the US.

IME there is no difference how one is treated - original owner or re-sale.

I would never consider a time share, so am hardly knowledgeable, but from what I have read on other threads here the resale value is approximately zero....

>> resale value is approximately zero….<< Often yes -- but it is very (VERY) resort-specific. There are time shares and then there are time shares.

Do the math, how does the cost of the maintenance fees and the amount your friend wants for her share plus any other fees/upgrades/charges compare to what you pay to rent one for as many years you are planning to use it? Then check the sales of other units in her area.
