Hello all,

First, I'd like to thank you for your patience regarding this issue. The mods and admin team have fielded many alerts from the community about the banner, and we've had some difficulties getting it fixed. You should now see that the advisory has been changed to reflect the content that it redirects to. We appreciate you bringing this to the attention of the community, and in the future, we hope to do better.

I'm so glad to see this change!
How awesome!

I thank everyone who had a part in making it happen.
  • Particular thanks to iIBShep and ibobi for pursuing the matter. I had originally assumed that IB administrators could effect a change by simply "making it so." That assumption seems to have been mistaken, so I am especially grateful for the efforts it apparently took (and which I still do not understand -- but I don't need to!) to achieve a more appropriate banner.
  • My personal thanks to those of you who posted on this thread -- crellston, DGCommittee, suze, and yestravel. As I see it, this was a group effort, and it seems from IBShep's message, that maybe some others voiced their concerns, too. I don't know whether my post, by itself, would have had an effect -- and I hope I never know. What matters is that we, together, made a difference. YAY!!!
Hoping you are all safe and well

YEA! Way to go Administrators!! Proud of the Fodor's team for righting a wrong and special thanks to kja for leading the change!

I got really heated there for a minute. .. even shamed you which is probably the most toxic thing someone can do to someone or to one's self
I too will do better in the future.

I couldn't agree more -- thank you kja for noticing this and posting about it, and thank you to the others who took the time to comment. Thank you, administrator.s for correcting this.
