Which credit card(s) to get airline miles?

Hello,

I'm looking for some recommendations on US credit cards that are better for getting airline miles.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Steve

From a specific airline? Or just general miles?

It does depend on which airline best suits you.

Once you start getting miles, there is a way to work the system.

My old Delta miles (90k+) were about to expire, so I signed up for a free (for the first year) AMEX card and have extended the expiration date by 2 years.

Trust me, I won't renew once an annual fee is about to be charged to me.

I'm primarily an AA flyer, so I just signed up for an AMEX Citibank card that gives me 5,000 miles after only spending $125 in the next couple of months. I also won't renew this card when they begin an annual fee.

I use my current Citibank Visa for everything, including groceries.

I receive these offers because I pay my credit cards off each month and keep a good credit rating.

You might want to also post your question on the Airlines forum, or in the Lounge forum. Hardly anyone reads or posts here on "Travel Tips" for some reason.

Thanks. I was looking for suggestions on airline specific or general airline miles.

I'll also ask in the other forum as suggested.

Thanks!

Steve
