What is your hotel budget?

I think of a hotel as a place to dump my luggage, wash up and sleep, that's it. Idon't care for swimming pools, fancy restarants, tv, business centres, etc.My budget is usually $100 a night, I'll spend more only if it's a special trip. Nowadays with tools like Priceline and Hotwire, I am usually sucessful in booking rooms within my budget. Cheap airfares are nice, but I alway find that my accomodation cost exceed my flight costs when I travel.

It depends the purpose & destination of my trip. Usually I go somewhere tropical for vacations & a swimming pool is about my only must-have! In Mexico my range is $40-65usd per night. While in Hawaii I have to give $75-$120 per night for a similar style hotel. In major cities of Europe I have gone as cheap as 57 euro in Amsterdam with a shared bath, or as much as 150 euro sharing a double room with a view in Venice with a friend.

If you post your question in The Lounge, a lot more people will answer. Not very many people read "Travel Tips" forum.

Maybe $25 per day per person. Some places that isn't enough.
