Tropical islands conducive to solo

Has anyone ever travelled alone to a honeymoon hot spot and had a good time?
I was cruising the web today looking for some exotic island to go to for 2007 and I thought, wow, I would stick out like a sore thumb on most of them. I have travelled solo before and had a great time, but not to an island. I think I could go to the Caribbean by myself, but not somewhere like Fiji where it's honeymooner's 24x7.

i travel solo to Waikiki and to Puerto Vallarta (not exactly exotic islands but they are heavily honeymooned spots)

I have a friend who frequently travels to islands as she is a scuba enthusiast. One of her favorites was Virgin Gorda. She met lots of people (not honeymooners) and never felt alone or awkward.

I've had good solo trips to all the major Hawaiian islands (plus Molokai, but that one wasn't solo). I've even gone over Christmas week, when the place was overrun with families. I was surprised to find Waikiki enjoyable, even though I didn't expect to and I really did feel like I was the only solo traveler there.

The honeymooners and families basically ignored me, which is pretty typical for a solo male anywhere. I ran into some discrimination in restaurants, though. Some wouldn't take reservations for one. Others kept me waiting (in the hope that I would go away?) while couples who came in after me were seated immediately. But other than that, I didn't have any difficulties. But Hawaii has lots to do and explore. I would definitely avoid places that are strictly "romantic" beach resorts.

I went to Jamaica solo last summer, and it was great. I met a lot of people but had plenty of time to do whatever I wanted to.

I have lived solo for 12 years on Maui and the Big Island, for 2 years on Puerto Rico, and for 5 years on Bali and Koh Samui. I have also visited numerous honeymoon spots

I've actually been to Tahiti, Fiji, and Kauai by myself and always had a blast. I really just wanted to relax, read, and de-stress so Tahiti and Fiji were great. Yes, there were a lot of honeymooners but they all looked really bored so it didn't bother me! Kauai was terrific and there was so much to do. I've met people in every place and had thoroughly enjoyable vacations.

I've also been to Fiji on a solo trip. May I suggest you look into Thailand, islands such as Phuket or Koh Samui or Koh Phi Phi. I'm SURE you would have a great time there.
