Trip ideas
 

My sister and I , both in our fiftys and relatively fit, are looking to take a vacation- within next few months. It will be for about 7-9 days.
She is looking for total relaxation, while I am hoping for something interesting, unusual, exciting.......
We both love the beach, though I am not sure that I want to spend a week just eating, drinking and hanging out at the beach....would like some adventure or culture or something...
We will be coming from Boston, and hope that we will not use up 2 full days traveling back and forth....though I imagine that we may have to.
Any thoughts?

How about the Yucatan in Mexico? You coild stay at a beach resort and take some day trips. Or maybe stay at a beach resort part of the trip and anothet area for part of the trip - maybe Merida or Valladolid.

Coata Rica would be another good choice for combining beach, relaxation, and adventure.

There's also Punta Mita.

Or just plain old Miami!
