Traveling safely with the allergy

I'm planning my trip and want to make it safe and enjoyable. Advice me some tips for traveling safely with the allergy (urticaria). Should I visit the doctor before traveling for a consultation? Should I say no to straightening while traveling? Some articles say that hair straightening can lead to an increase in allergic reactions, “including nose bleeds and eye irritation.”

Yes, consult your doctor.

Interesting that you come to Fodor's once in a while, but only to post questions that sound like you are trying to write a blog or article.

Straightening is definitely bad for your hair, it causes damage and breakage. Reason enough to avoid it. And the result does not even look nice. I hope this stupid fashion will disappear soon.

Interesting.....I love the look of my hair using an electric hair straightener, but googled "can hair straightening lead to hives" and it refers to using keratin products that are popular for hair treatments called Brazilian Keratin Treatments and they use formaldehyde.

Thanks for doing the research, catspajamas. I was trying to figure out how straightening one's hair can result in hives.
