My Mom uses the hotel shower caps for shoe covers in her suitcase.......

A plastic soap dish container can provide good protection for a digital camera.

A mitten can be used to hold and protect a pair of sunglasses.

You can tag your ipod, digital camera, etc. with an address label so that it can be mailed back to you should you lose it.

tenthumbs- I like that idea. I don't often see shower caps in hotel rooms anymore but will surely grab them when I do.

LoveItaly- I never thought of storing my smaller earrings in the zippered section of my wallet. Such a simple but helpful tip!

Good idea about the address label- on another thread someone suggested taking a picture of your address or phone number.

The anti perspirant stick on the sandals seems like it may be a good one. I don't really like wearing sandals all that much, I hate having my feet get dirty. Does it have to be Secret? I wouldn't mind wearing sandals if they felt better at the end of the day.

I just stick my shoes in grocery bags and stuff them with socks to take the place of shoe trees.

<i>"Does it have to be Secret?"</i>

I can't imagine it does. That's just my choice. I'd think any brand that is a stick, but definitely not a gel!

Hi boots, another thing I do without fail (after having jewelry I had forgotten about left on a dresser while we were out of the room stolen) is to take any other jewelry be it a ring, bracelet or whatever that I take off put into the small coin section of my wallet or if it does not fit into the zippered pocket of my purse. I do that even when removing any jewelry be it washing my hands or taking a shower. It is so easy to forget about some piece of jewelry especially when on a trip. I do the same thing at home. Every time I remove a piece of jewelry it immediately goes into the designated place in my jewelry drawer. I usually just take the extra pair of earrings, one necklace, one braclet and a dressier ring for evening when I travel but more and more I think I would forget about taking the extra ring.

I don't put jewelry in my wallet, but I have learned that inside of my tiny box of QTips is a fantastic place for my small pendants that I might take when I travel.

That antiperspirant on the sandals sounds like a good idea! I've often done that with baby powder, which also works well under bras if you're going to be sweating a lot.
