Travel photos and websites/blogs
 

I’m planning a trip and looking to find a good way of posting many photos and written descriptions interspersed .. and maybe even some powerpoint … for friends to see.

Ideally I could post periodically during the trip but also at the end.
And ideally, a little or no cost.

Any suggested favorite sites for such?

facebook, myspace, and geocities (all com) are great

Webshots and Picasa also come to mind--I feel the former seems to be a bit more generally accessible.

I'm sure there are many more, but Realtravel, Travelpod and Travelblog are three that you might check out. I've never blogged my travels, but I always go to these sites to search for others' blogs on the places I want to go.

I use WorldIsRound, but for pictures alone. It has a choice of personal or travel articles, you can protect them with a password if you wish, and you can make any changes any time, or enhance or make darker/lighter.

Oh, and it's free, although they do offer some perks to buy.
