travel between New York City and Washington DC
 

My husband and i will be visiting NYC and Washington this August. What is the best way to travel between these cities?

But in general - the best way to travel between NYC and DC is by train, though there are also express buses. You'll get more details about both over on the United States forum.

AMTRAK or the Megabus to/from Penn Station in NYC.

If you really want to go cheap take a Chinatown bus!

I traveled with New Century Travel from Chinatown (86 Allen St.) to Chinatown in Washington DC. Pro:cheap. Con: Kinda smelly bus, it's a rush into the bus to get a seat, tickets are basically scratch paper with a stamp and signature on it.

But it gets you to DC.

I think the best way to travel between NYC and Washington is by bus. I suggest you take the Bolt bus or the Megabus.I heard that they have cheap fares if you book in time. Enjoy your trip. Keep safe!
